Where’s your civic sense…dude !
we as a nation are full of people who are die hard braggarts! we never leave a chance to look down at other people or taking a potshot at some innocent person.but we think that we are smart than any other person on this planet.
the other day we had an orientation class at JNU. the teachers were nice and told us every thing that would be needed to survive in the surroundings of JNU.the next day, the president of the student union, Mr. Dhananjay kumar came in our class to give a call for a strike. the strike was called for the breach of agreement by the administration.he said they were protesting for the minimum wages for the downtrodden workers of the university and also for fines and suspension order imposed on some students of the university. it was a spectcle, a very touching gesture..
but when i visited one of the cafeterias at the university gate…namely ganga..the sight was pathetic…cups were thrown here and there…to be cleaned by the poor workers for whom the students were protesting.
i beg to ask a question now…”do the learned students of this hallowed university does have this civic sense to dispose the cups at the proper place the so called dustbins?” ;should not the president, give a call for cleaniness to the unguided students who think they are free to do what ever they like? this dirty scene is at every canteen that lies outside the academic blocks. otherwise, the students are good, accomodating and full of beans !
this is just not the case of JNU, but almost every other part of the city and the whole country. this place only acts as a microcosm for the whole country and society. we do not care to upkeep a place. it seems to me that the attitude of the people is questionable. first they would spoil a place and secondly they would curse people who are just like them!
this has to change…..when you gain knowledge, it must show itself as an application of a fertile brain. otherwise it all adds to zilch. and all these political tamasha that you are conducting is “much ado about nothing”.
